1. Agreement to Terms

These Terms of Service (“Terms”) constitute a legally binding agreement between you and Zera Books (“Company”, “we”, “us”, or “our”), a service operated from British Columbia, Canada. By accessing or using our website at zerabooks.com (the “Service”), you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you disagree with any part of these terms, you do not have permission to access the Service.

2. Description of Service

Zera Books provides automated PDF to CSV/Excel conversion services specifically for bank and financial statements. The Service uses AI-powered technology to extract, structure, and convert data from uploaded PDF documents into spreadsheet formats. The Service is available worldwide to users who are at least 18 years of age.

3. User Accounts and Registration

To access certain features of the Service, you must register for an account. When you register, you agree to:

• Provide accurate, current, and complete information
• Maintain and promptly update your account information
• Maintain the security and confidentiality of your login credentials
• Accept responsibility for all activities that occur under your account
• Immediately notify us of any unauthorized use of your account

You must be at least 18 years old to create an account and use our Service.

4. Subscription Plans and Pricing

The Service offers a paid subscription plan:

• 1-Week Trial: $1 USD for 7 days of full access
• Pro Monthly: $79 USD per month for unlimited conversions (billed after trial)

Prices are in USD and subject to change with 30 days notice. Changes will not affect existing subscriptions until renewal.

5. Payment Terms

All payments are processed securely through Stripe, Inc. By subscribing to a paid plan, you authorize us to charge your payment method on a recurring basis according to your selected billing cycle. Subscriptions automatically renew unless cancelled before the renewal date. You may cancel your subscription at any time through the customer portal, and cancellation will take effect at the end of the current billing period.

6. Refund Policy

New users may evaluate the Service during the 1-week trial period for $1. After the trial period ends and your subscription converts to the full monthly plan, all charges are non-refundable. You may cancel your subscription at any time to prevent future billing, but no refunds will be issued for the current billing period. 7. Acceptable Use Policy

You agree to use the Service only for lawful purposes and in accordance with these Terms. You agree NOT to:

• Upload any files that you do not have the legal right to process
• Upload malicious software, viruses, or any code designed to harm or alter the Service
• Attempt to gain unauthorized access to any part of the Service or its related systems
• Use the Service to process documents containing illegal content
• Resell, redistribute, or commercially exploit the Service without written permission
• Use automated systems or software to extract data from the Service
• Violate any applicable laws or regulations

8. Intellectual Property Rights

Your Content: You retain all rights to the documents you upload to the Service. By uploading content, you grant us a limited, non-exclusive license to process your documents solely for the purpose of providing the Service to you.

Our Service: The Service, including its original content, features, and functionality, is owned by Zera Books and is protected by international copyright, trademark, and other intellectual property laws.

9. Data Processing and Privacy

All uploaded files are processed temporarily for the sole purpose of conversion and are automatically deleted from our servers immediately after processing is complete. We do not store, retain, or have access to your financial documents after conversion. You are responsible for maintaining copies of your original documents and converted files. Our data practices are further described in our Privacy Policy.

10. Disclaimer of Warranties

THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED ON AN “AS IS” AND “AS AVAILABLE” BASIS WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EITHER EXPRESS OR IMPLIED. We do not warrant that:

• The Service will be uninterrupted, secure, or error-free
• The conversions will be 100% accurate or error-free
• The Service will meet your specific requirements
• Any errors in the Service will be corrected

Important: You should always review and verify converted data before using it for any purpose, especially for financial, tax, or legal matters.

11. Limitation of Liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, ZERA BOOKS SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO LOSS OF PROFITS, DATA, USE, OR GOODWILL, ARISING FROM YOUR USE OR INABILITY TO USE THE SERVICE.

Our total liability to you for any claims arising from or related to these Terms or the Service shall not exceed the amount you have paid us in the twelve (12) months preceding the claim.

12. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless Zera Books and its officers, directors, employees, and agents from any claims, damages, losses, liabilities, and expenses (including reasonable attorney's fees) arising from your use of the Service, violation of these Terms, or violation of any rights of another party.

13. Termination

We reserve the right to terminate or suspend your account and access to the Service immediately, without prior notice or liability, for any reason, including but not limited to breach of these Terms. Upon termination, your right to use the Service will immediately cease. You may terminate your account at any time by contacting us at daminmutti@zerabooks.com.

14. Dispute Resolution

Informal Resolution: We prefer to address your concerns without resorting to formal legal proceedings. Before filing a claim against Zera Books, you agree to try to resolve the dispute informally by contacting us at daminmutti@zerabooks.com. We will try to resolve the dispute informally by contacting you via email.

Formal Resolution: If we cannot resolve the dispute informally within 30 days, any dispute arising from these Terms shall be resolved through binding arbitration in accordance with the rules of the British Columbia International Commercial Arbitration Centre. The arbitration shall take place in Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada.

15. Governing Law

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the Province of British Columbia and the federal laws of Canada applicable therein, without regard to conflict of law principles. Any legal action or proceeding shall be brought exclusively in the courts of British Columbia.

16. Changes to Terms

We reserve the right to modify or replace these Terms at any time at our sole discretion. If we make material changes, we will notify you by email or by posting a notice on the Service at least 30 days before the changes take effect. Your continued use of the Service after the effective date constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.

17. Severability

If any provision of these Terms is held to be invalid, illegal, or unenforceable, the remaining provisions shall continue in full force and effect.

18. Entire Agreement

These Terms, together with our Privacy Policy, constitute the entire agreement between you and Zera Books regarding the use of the Service and supersede any prior agreements.
