Download your Capital One statements
Where to find Capital One business checking and Spark card statements, how far back they go, and how to get them into ZeraBooks as PDFs.
Download a statement
Capital One shows statements on each account's page.
Sign in at capitalone.com on a computer.
Click the account.
Choose "View statements".
Pick the month and download the PDF.
In ZeraBooks, click Banks & Cards › Upload statement, choose the matching account and upload the file. See Upload a bank or card statement.
Spark business cards
Open the card account.
Find its statements on the card's page and choose the month.
Download the statement as a PDF and upload it into a credit card account in ZeraBooks.
How far back you can go
Capital One keeps up to 7 years of statements online for open bank accounts.
PDF or CSV
Download the PDF statement. ZeraBooks reads the printed opening and closing balances from it and uses them to prove the month is complete. See How ZeraBooks proves a statement.
Capital One also lets you download transactions for Quicken, QuickBooks or Excel. A CSV works in ZeraBooks too, but it usually has no opening or closing balance. After you upload one, enter both balances exactly as printed on the statement with Fix statement details… in Reconciliations. See Fix a month that doesn't tie.
Only need the transactions in a spreadsheet? Once you have the Capital One PDF, convert it to Excel or CSV with the ZeraBooks bank statement converter.
Important: Bank accounts and Spark cards show statements on different pages. Upload each into the matching ZeraBooks account type: bank statements into a bank account, card statements into a credit card account.
Frequently Asked Questions
Why can't I see my Capital One checking statements online?
The account must be set to paperless. Click the account, then "Account Services & Settings" › "Paperless".
I have a Discover card. Is that Capital One now?
Discover is part of Capital One. See Download your Discover statements.
Can ZeraBooks connect to my Capital One account directly?
No. ZeraBooks has no bank feeds and never asks for your Capital One sign-in. Download each statement and upload it.
Which statements should I download?
Every month from the date your books start, for every account, oldest first. Upload one account's statement per file: each statement's opening balance is checked against the previous month's closing balance. See Upload a bank or card statement.
