Download your Discover statements

Where to find Discover card statements and how to get them into ZeraBooks as PDFs.

Download a statement

Discover is now part of Capital One. If you still sign in at discover.com, statements are listed with your card account.

  1. Sign in to your Discover account on a computer.

  2. Open the card's statements.

  3. Choose the month.

  4. Download the statement as a PDF.

  5. In ZeraBooks, click Banks & Cards › Upload statement, choose the matching account and upload the file. See Upload a bank or card statement.

How far back you can go

How far back Discover shows statements depends on the account. If a month is missing, ask Discover for it.

PDF or CSV

Download the PDF statement. ZeraBooks reads the printed opening and closing balances from it and uses them to prove the month is complete. See How ZeraBooks proves a statement.

Discover may also let you download transactions from the card's activity page. A CSV works in ZeraBooks too, but it usually has no opening or closing balance. After you upload one, enter both balances exactly as printed on the statement with Fix statement details… in Reconciliations. See Fix a month that doesn't tie.

Only need the transactions in a spreadsheet? Once you have the Discover PDF, convert it to Excel or CSV with the ZeraBooks bank statement converter.

Important: If your account has moved to Capital One, its statements are on Capital One's site. See Download your Capital One statements.

Frequently Asked Questions

I use a personal Discover card for the business. Can I upload it?

Yes. Add it as a credit card account in ZeraBooks and upload its statements. Personal purchases on it can be recorded as owner draws.

Is a Discover checking account statement different?

Upload a checking statement into a bank account in ZeraBooks, and a card statement into a credit card account.

Can ZeraBooks connect to my Discover account directly?

No. ZeraBooks has no bank feeds and never asks for your Discover sign-in. Download each statement and upload it.

Which statements should I download?

Every month from the date your books start, for every account, oldest first. Upload one account's statement per file: each statement's opening balance is checked against the previous month's closing balance. See Upload a bank or card statement.
