Download your Relay statements
Where to find Relay checking and card statements and how to get them into ZeraBooks as PDFs.
Download a statement
Relay keeps statements under each account in the web app.
Sign in to Relay on a computer.
Open the "Accounts" tab, then "Statements".
Select the months, click "Export", then "Download statements".
Choose PDF and the account.
In ZeraBooks, click Banks & Cards › Upload statement, choose the matching account and upload the file. See Upload a bank or card statement.
Relay card
Open the card account from the "Accounts" tab, then "Statements".
Select the billing cycle and click the download icon.
Upload it into a credit card account in ZeraBooks.
How far back you can go
Relay keeps your checking statements online. Card statements appear the day after each billing cycle closes.
PDF or CSV
Download the PDF statement. ZeraBooks reads the printed opening and closing balances from it and uses them to prove the month is complete. See How ZeraBooks proves a statement.
Relay's export also offers CSV and OFX. A CSV works in ZeraBooks too, but it usually has no opening or closing balance. After you upload one, enter both balances exactly as printed on the statement with Fix statement details… in Reconciliations. See Fix a month that doesn't tie.
Only need the transactions in a spreadsheet? Once you have the Relay PDF, convert it to Excel or CSV with the ZeraBooks bank statement converter.
Important: Each Relay account has its own statement. Choose the right account when you export, and upload each into its own account in ZeraBooks.
Frequently Asked Questions
My Relay card has no statements. Why?
The first card statement appears the day after its first billing cycle closes.
I use several Relay accounts. Do I need every statement?
Yes, one per account each month. Add each Relay account in ZeraBooks and upload its statements into it.
Can ZeraBooks connect to my Relay account directly?
No. ZeraBooks has no bank feeds and never asks for your Relay sign-in. Download each statement and upload it.
Which statements should I download?
Every month from the date your books start, for every account, oldest first. Upload one account's statement per file: each statement's opening balance is checked against the previous month's closing balance. See Upload a bank or card statement.
