# Download your Citi statements

Where to find Citi business checking and card statements and how to get them into ZeraBooks as PDFs.

## Download a statement

Citi has more than one online banking site for businesses. Sign in where you normally bank with Citi.

1. Sign in to Citi online banking on a computer.
2. Open the account you need.
3. Look for "Statements" (sometimes under a documents menu) and choose the month.
4. Download the statement as a PDF.
5. In ZeraBooks, click **Banks & Cards** › **Upload statement**, choose the matching account and upload the file. See [Upload a bank or card statement](https://www.zerabooks.com/help/banks-and-cards/upload-a-statement).

## How far back you can go

How far back Citi shows statements depends on the account and the site you use. If a month is missing, ask Citi for it.

## PDF or CSV

Download the **PDF** statement. ZeraBooks reads the printed opening and closing balances from it and uses them to prove the month is complete. See [How ZeraBooks proves a statement](https://www.zerabooks.com/help/banks-and-cards/how-zerabooks-proves-a-statement).

Citi may also let you download transactions from the account's activity page. A CSV works in ZeraBooks too, but it usually has no opening or closing balance. After you upload one, enter both balances exactly as printed on the statement with **Fix statement details…** in Reconciliations. See [Fix a month that doesn't tie](https://www.zerabooks.com/help/reconciliations/fix-a-month-that-doesnt-tie).

Only need the transactions in a spreadsheet? Once you have the Citi PDF, convert it to Excel or CSV with the ZeraBooks [bank statement converter](/bank-statement-converter).

**Important:** Store cards and co-branded cards issued by Citi (for example a Costco card) are Citi accounts. Their statements are on Citi's site, not the store's.
{% endhint %}

## Frequently Asked Questions

<details>

Open the account first: statements are usually listed on the account's page or in a documents menu. If you still can't see them, contact Citi.
</details>

<details>
<summary>Is Citizens Bank the same as Citi?</summary>

No. Citizens Bank is a different bank. Use its own online banking to download statements.
</details>

<details>
<summary>Can ZeraBooks connect to my Citi account directly?</summary>

No. ZeraBooks has no bank feeds and never asks for your Citi sign-in. Download each statement and upload it.
</details>

<details>
<summary>Which statements should I download?</summary>

Every month from the date your books start, for every account, oldest first.
