# Download your Chase statements

Where to find Chase business checking and Ink card statements, how far back they go, and how to get them into ZeraBooks as PDFs.

## Download a statement

Chase keeps business checking, savings and credit card statements in one place.

1. Sign in at chase.com on a computer.
2. Open the main menu at the top left and choose "Statements & documents".
3. Choose the account, then the month.
4. Download the statement as a PDF.
5. In ZeraBooks, click **Banks & Cards** › **Upload statement**, choose the matching account and upload the file. See [Upload a bank or card statement](https://www.zerabooks.com/help/banks-and-cards/upload-a-statement).

## How far back you can go

Chase keeps up to 7 years of statements online, depending on the account.

## PDF or CSV

Download the **PDF** statement. ZeraBooks reads the printed opening and closing balances from it and uses them to prove the month is complete. See [How ZeraBooks proves a statement](https://www.zerabooks.com/help/banks-and-cards/how-zerabooks-proves-a-statement).

Chase also lets you download account activity as a CSV from the account's activity page. A CSV works in ZeraBooks too, but it usually has no opening or closing balance. After you upload one, enter both balances exactly as printed on the statement with **Fix statement details…** in Reconciliations. See [Fix a month that doesn't tie](https://www.zerabooks.com/help/reconciliations/fix-a-month-that-doesnt-tie).

Only need the transactions in a spreadsheet? Once you have the Chase PDF, convert it to Excel or CSV with the ZeraBooks [bank statement converter](/bank-statement-converter).

**Important:** Chase merchant services (card processing) statements are not bank statements. Upload the checking or credit card statement, not the merchant statement.
{% endhint %}

## Frequently Asked Questions

<details>
<summary>Where are my Chase Ink card statements?</summary>

In the same "Statements & documents" menu. Choose the card account instead of the checking account. Upload card statements into a credit card account in ZeraBooks.
</details>

<details>
<summary>Chase shows fewer statements than I need. What now?</summary>

Online statements depend on the account and how long it has been open. Ask Chase for older statements, then upload them oldest first.
</details>

<details>
<summary>Can ZeraBooks connect to my Chase account directly?</summary>

No. ZeraBooks has no bank feeds and never asks for your Chase sign-in. Download each statement and upload it.
</details>

<details>
<summary>Which statements should I download?</summary>

Every month from the date your books start, for every account, oldest first. Upload one account's statement per file: each statement's opening balance is checked against the previous month's closing balance. See [Upload a bank or card statement](https://www.zerabooks.com/help/banks-and-cards/upload-a-statement).
