# Download your Bank of America statements

Where to find Bank of America business checking and card statements, how far back they go, and how to get them into ZeraBooks as PDFs.

## Download a statement

Bank of America lists every account's statements under one menu, filtered by account and year.

1. Sign in to Bank of America Online Banking on a computer.
2. Open "Accounts" and choose "Statements & Documents".
3. Choose the account and the year from the dropdowns.
4. Open the month's statement and download the PDF.
5. In ZeraBooks, click **Banks & Cards** › **Upload statement**, choose the matching account and upload the file. See [Upload a bank or card statement](https://www.zerabooks.com/help/banks-and-cards/upload-a-statement).

## How far back you can go

Bank of America shows 6 years of monthly statements online. Older statements, up to 7 years, can be requested from the bank, sometimes for a fee.

## PDF or CSV

Download the **PDF** statement. ZeraBooks reads the printed opening and closing balances from it and uses them to prove the month is complete. See [How ZeraBooks proves a statement](https://www.zerabooks.com/help/banks-and-cards/how-zerabooks-proves-a-statement).

Bank of America also offers a transaction download from the account's activity page. A CSV works in ZeraBooks too, but it usually has no opening or closing balance. After you upload one, enter both balances exactly as printed on the statement with **Fix statement details…** in Reconciliations. See [Fix a month that doesn't tie](https://www.zerabooks.com/help/reconciliations/fix-a-month-that-doesnt-tie).

Only need the transactions in a spreadsheet? Once you have the Bank of America PDF, convert it to Excel or CSV with the ZeraBooks [bank statement converter](/bank-statement-converter).

**Important:** The statement list only shows the account and year selected in the dropdowns. If you can't find a month, check both dropdowns first.
{% endhint %}
